The cooperative
The Agios Georgios Women's Agricultural and Craft Cooperative was founded in 1992 by 20 women, residents of Agios Georgios, seat of the municipality of Irakleote in Grevena. Their effort proved to be a successful experiment and they have been working tirelessly for 25 years, preserving the traditions of their place.
The products produced by the Cooperative are Feather (cut - broken), Trachanas Sour, Trachanas sweet, Trachanas with Vegetables, Trachanas with flour. At the local level, some traditional sweets (saliaria, kourampiedes, etc.), cookies and traditional fake pies are produced. The raw materials of the products are from local producers and their production is based on local traditional homemade recipes, thus maintaining the taste and quality unchanged. The important thing is that they do not have preservatives and coloring substances
